JACKIE ROBINSON FOUNDATION
DUE: JANUARY 12, 2022

ELIGIBILITY
To be eligible for a Jackie Robinson Foundation Scholarship, an applicant must:
- Be a graduating, minority high school senior
- Be a United States citizen
- Present evidence of the financial need
- Demonstrate a record of academic excellence
- Demonstrate leadership potential and a dedication to community service
- Submit an official SAT and/or ACT test exam score from junior or senior year*
- Plan to attend an accredited and approved 4-year college within the United States or affiliated with a United States-based college or university
- Not possess a degree from, or be enrolled in, a 2 or 4–year college when applying

*JRF recognizes the challenges of taking standardized tests during the COVID-19 pandemic; applicants who do not HAVE TEST SCORES to submit will not be disadvantaged in the selection process.
 
 
DR. AMANDA PEREZ SCHOLARSHIP 
Deadline: February 15th, 2022 11:59PM PST
 
The Dr. Amanda Perez Scholarship was developed in 2008 to assist high school and college freshman students who are interested in pursuing a career in medicine. Personal qualities, financial need, academic and extracurricular achievement will all be considered in the selection process. Dr. Amanda Perez is an alumna of LMSA-West at the Charles Drew University Chapter, where she served as Medical Student Representative. She later was in charge of the Scholarship Program when she served on the Executive Board for the LMSA-West Region. Award recipients may have the chance to meet Dr. Amanda Perez at an official LMSA-West event.

ELIGIBILITY
-Must be High School Senior OR freshmen at 4-year university during the 2021-2022 academic year.
-Must be committed to pursuing a career in medicine and dedicated to serving the Latino and underserved communities.
-Applicants should demonstrate a desire to advance the state of healthcare and education in Latino and underserved communities through leadership in extracurricular activities and/or membership in civic organizations.
Students are eligible to receive the scholarship regardless of immigration or citizenship status, as long as the university they attend will allow them to enroll and register for classes.
-Strong consideration will be placed upon financial need.
-Must be a member of LMSA-West-FREE to High School Students. (Can contact LMSA Executive Board for more info).
-Must be a resident or attending school within the LMSA-West region states (Arizona, California, Hawaii, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington, Wyoming, Alaska, Montana, and Idaho).
-LMSA-West reserves the right to withdraw or withhold scholarship pending submission of necessary documents.
 
MINERVA SCHOLARSHIP: 
Deadline: May 31 at 11:59 pm
 
The Women in California Leadership (WiCL) Foundation Minerva Scholarship program, now in its second year, will begin accepting online applications from eligible female students.  The program was established to assist deserving female students by offering financial assistance to meet educational expenses.  Eighty-four $2,500 Minerva Scholarships and one $10,000 Golden Minerva Scholarship will be awarded this year.
 
In order to be eligible for scholarship consideration students must meet the following requirements:
 
• Be a full-time student in good academic standing at an accredited college or university OR be a graduating high school senior with written proof of acceptance at an accredited institution of higher learning.
• Eligible students must identify as female.
• Have a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.5.
• Submit a completed online application with all required supplementary documents by the application deadline.
 
Complete scholarship requirements and details (including the application) are now available on the WiCL Foundation’s website:  http://wicl.us/scholarship-program. The scholarship applications is open between May 1st - May 31 at 11:59 pm is deadline for submitting the online application and all supporting documentation.  There are no exceptions to this deadline. A public announcement of all scholarship winners will be made on July 1st  via WiCL website and congratulatory letter sent to each winner from the WiCL Foundation.
 
CLLCF SCHOLARSHIP:
Deadline: June 1st
 
The CA Latino Legislative Caucus Foundation’s Scholarship Program, now in its seventh year, will begin accepting online applications from eligible students.  The program was established to assist deserving students by offering financial assistance to meet educational expenses. Fifty $5,000 scholarships will be awarded this year.
 
In order to be eligible for scholarship consideration students must meet the following requirements:
 
• Be a full time student in good academic standing at an accredited college or university, OR
• Be a graduating high school senior with written proof of acceptance at an accredited institution of higher learning.
• Have a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.5.
• Submit a completed online application with all required supplementary documents by the application deadline. 
 
Complete scholarship requirements and details (including the application) are now available at the Foundation’s website:  www.CLLCF.org  Answers to frequently asked questions can be found at: https://www.cllcf.org/faq  The application opens March 15th-June 1st is the deadline for submitting the online application and all supporting documentation.  There are no exceptions to this deadline.
 
 

MARINE CORPS CAREER AND TECHNICAL EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIPS

Deadline: Available All Year

 

Applicants must be the child of one of the following:

  • Active duty, reserve, or veteran U.S. Marine.
  • A Marine was killed while serving in the U.S. Marine Corps.
  • Active duty, reserve, or veteran U.S. Navy Corpsman who is/was attached to a U.S. Marine Corps unit or who was killed while serving with a U.S. Marine Corps unit.
  • A U.S. Navy Chaplain or Religious Programs Specialist who is/was attached to a U.S. Marine Corps unit or who was killed while serving with a U.S. Marine Corps unit.
